i started work last wk officially.. however, it was only a half day thing, and then i had the rest of the days free... so this week was the week i officially went to work..... but it wasn't really work in a sense..... cos.. this wk is mainly teambuilding activities.. hence, time were not spent in the office, but rather, outside!! overall to sum up, i had a fun but tiring week! :D i did or went to places which i always wanted to go but didn't go yet... so, satisfaction!!!! :D thing is, everyday is a surprise, we won't noe what we'll be doing or where we'll be going.. even on the day itself, we won't have any idea.. we'll jus see where the bus takes us to, and guess from there roughly... the ppl will only tell us what to wear or bring the next day.... well, i will give a summary of my daily activities this wk:
mon: reported at the office, only to realise that we would be waiting for a bus to take us to some place which i dunno where.. as in turns out, we were be driven to some country club... and the whole day was spent there.. mainly introducing ourselves, and the management team introducing themselves... and also coming out with some sort of rules we set for ourselves, so as to guide the other employees who come in in future..... we set our own benchmark in a way.... so basically this day was spent having self-intro, tea break, self-intro, lunch, activities, tea break, activities, and it was end of the day where we were driven back to office, and from there go our separate ways.....
tue: met up at office tower, bus brought us to east coast park for a team building activity - sandcastle building!!! omg... i've never build sandcastle b4.. but after seeing the instructors doing them, it was so so so so nice!! and so we were split into 8 different teams to build our things together... in the end, we were supposed to build a theme park with the company logo somewhere.. and omg.. it was so so so so so so nice that i think nobody would bear to destroy them! :P this is one of the things i've nv done but hope to do... and so, it was fulfilled!!
wed: this is a real surprise.... cos they told us to bring swimwear cos we will get wet.. and so we were like thinking it would be a beach... and then, we ended up in pulau ubin! it has been years since i last went there!! we were there for some orientation-like games.. and it totally reminds me of school orientation games.. we played games like helium hoop etc... and outdoor obstacles like climbing over a tall wall, if no steps... we hav to step on someone and someone on top would hav to pull us up to get over.. it looks scary and un-doable.. but in the end i find it quite fun! lol.... the last activity was building raft and we have to get to the other side safely.... and then it was end of the day, we were brought back to changi, and then a bus back to office tower, and then it was back home... tiring! cos we gathered at 7plus, which meant i woke up at 5plus on this day!
thurs: national day! am glad it was a public holiday, so it meant resting!! :) but i went out, met a friend to go to marina bay to watch the national day parade live as he's got the tickets... it was my v first time watching the parade live... so i can't really compare to those days at national stadium since i nv been there to watch b4... but i heard this yr's programs were really spectacular and nice... it seems nv ending.. the programs jus keep coming up one after another.. and the stage being on sea meant alot of surprises can be seen like water splashing out somewhere, helicopters flying above etc... NICE! but the after event thing was bad, as everyone was squeezing our way out....below are some pics....

fri: we were asked to wear casually, and i believe to most of us casual wear means a normal top and jeans right... and so many of us wore that... and guess what.. we ended up at sentosa, and we played amazing race-like game under the hot sun! in jeans! omg... we were all sweating like nobody's business.. but then again, it was fun... haha.... going to station after station after getting the clue, and doing some activities there b4 getting the next clue and so on.. :) and for one of the obstacles, we were required to go out to sea and get into the water.. and since most of us were wearing jeans, we were all like pulling up our jeans to the knee level... haha... after amazing race, it was a nice end to our day and week as well... we all went to cafe del mar!!!! again, this is the place i've always wanted to visit but didn't, and i went today!!! we had finger food, and unlimited free drinks.. and i drank one mocktail and one cocktail.. had a lychee morito.... it was nice... i also tried some other drinks from my colleagues and some were really v v nice to drink! and so, we left the place at 8plus, when the buses were there to pick us up back to office tower.. since it's nearer for me to take a bus at harbourfront... i took the sentosa bus out instead... yup...
and so... i think this is by far my longest entry!! haha... but this wk i did not do any stuffs related to work yet... and it feels like i'm having a school orientation camp... lol.. but i really enjoyed it... and though it was tiring, this wk was fun.. :D however, from next wk onwards, it'll be serious work, as training will start.... well, signing off here now... update again!!
