TAIWAN trip - 10 to 20 May
i can't believe i took 2 hours just to upload my pics to blogger... okie so here i m blogging now.. updates on my Taiwan trip.. basically we travelled almost the whole of taiwan, reaching taipei and moving down the map to places like taitung, kaoshiong, taizhong and back at taipei again... stayed in 6 different hotels and 1 hostel... were on the move with our luggages almost everyday... slept 5 hours daily... it was so tiring but fun all in all... pictures next!

at one of their drink stalls. notice that their bitter gourd is white not green in colour.. we tried the drink, at first sip it was sweet... it was the aftertaste when the bitter gourd started kicking in....
while at kaoshiung, we went up the tower at 75th floor to look at the view of kaoshiung.. this is the view while in the lift... it was a normal life at first.. but as it gets higher and higher this is what you see at the ceiling of the lift... very nice...
then, it was off to dream mall... walked ard and we took the ferris wheel ride.. very cute.. got many different characters...
every seat has a bear in it... we got xiaobai! haha

next up, off to formosan aboriginal cultural village.. it is an amusement park with different rides...

on our way to dinner... this is the restaurant.. their food is not bad.... the tea they serve is chinese tea, but when u drink it, there is kopi-o taste... and their layout is unique...

the last hotel we stayed before moving on to hostel.. this hotel is nice.... 5-stars hotel... i was not prepared to move on to our hostel yet!

ta-da! within a day, we downgraded to a hostel.. but luckily it wasn't that bad.. cos it's quite new.. the rooms are small as expected... but overall not too bad.. friendly host.. =)
went to modern toilet restaurant in taipei... they serve everything in toilet bowl etc.. interesting concept.. it's not hard to spot this restaurant.. as u can see... but we couldn't get a place when we were there as it was crowded.. hence we made a booking for dinner instead.. pictures of the food later in the entry.. =)
off to shopping at metro underground mall...
back to modern toilet.. they serve soup in toilet bowl! and spaghetti on basin plate... we ordered a set meal each (comes with soup, drink, meal and ice-cream) and 2 big desserts.. we were so full after that!

at yangmingshan.. didn't get to walk ard much there as it was raining.. the only rainy day throughout our trip.. and that day was the day we went to the places which are outdoor! sad.. btw the weather was so super cold there plus raining.. brr...

off to night market before heading back to our hostel, and then ximending... as ximending is very near our hostel.. we went there every night for the 3 days we were at taipei.
on the 20th.. at taoyuan airport.. going back to singapore...
time passes by quickly while u are having fun... back in singapore, it's back to reality again... well, i like taiwan.. the ppl there are very friendly and nice!! lols... will want to go back again next time.. :P
